Nature experiences for all the family
Whether it is pleasure hikes or alpine tours, visitors to the Rosental Valley can enjoy unspoiled nature far away from mass tourism: on easy walks, more challenging mountain tours around the mountain climbers’ village of Zell-Sele, or in the Bodental Valley. Fantastic panoramic views, cross-border tours and cosy sun terraces await you on the Southern Alps Panorama Trail, which comprises 17 stages, 226 kilometres and a difference in altitude of 13,589 metres. And if you want, approved mountain and hiking guides will accompany you. Tip: Hiking and canyoning in the Tscheppaschlucht Gorge.
Cyclists will also find attractive tours in the Rosental Valley, such as the Via Carinzia cycle trail – a 162-kilometre cycling adventure blending enjoyment with history. In the Rosental Valley detours along the way are especially worthwhile, such as to Rosegg Castle, the Celtic World in Frög, the Firearms Museum in Ferlach or the expi Hands-On Science Centre in Gotschuchen.
Tip: Family-run guesthouses, regional taverns and alpine refuges will take good care of your physical well-being.
